A Great Deal and a new lesson at Rite Aid

In the end I had a great trip to Rite Aid today.  My retail was $55.79 and my out of pocket was $14.36.  That is a savings of $41.43 or 74%.  My lesson learned was that not all ads are created equal.  Rite Aid has regional ads and since I get the Tacoma News Tribune, my ad was specific for that region.  Although our Rite Aid here in Yelm has a different ad for our region, they were nice enough to adjust the prices to match the regional ad I received.   The manager explained to me that the ads are usually the same, but this time they may have been different because of a new store opening in that region.  I also had a similar experience with Albertson's over the last few weeks when I realized that certain items were cheaper in Thurston county compared to King and Pierce counties.  I learned how important it is to have your ad in hand and good things come to polite couponers.
