Coupon Swap Details

The Savvy Simple Savers will start off the year with two coupon swaps: Tuesday, January 10th and Thursday, January 12th.  Our group has grown so much over the past several months, I wanted  to remind everyone about our mission and describe the details of how our coupon swaps work and what to expect at our meetings.

The Savvy Simple Savers is a group dedicated to serving our families and community through saving money. 

Our group encourages common sense couponing, meal planning, recipe sharing, donating to local charities and sharing money saving tips.  Our monthly coupon swaps are just one piece of the puzzle that helps us accomplish our goals.  If you haven't been to our coupon swaps before, you don't want to miss them.  It is a great opportunity to meet with others who share an interest in saving money.  You can also take advantage of the many coupons available which is a good way to accumulate extra coupons and increase your savings.  Sharing and learning is also a huge part of our meetings. The wealth of knowledge in the room is amazing and definitely worth your time.  We welcome all levels from beginner to experienced and keep a very simple and casual atmosphere.   We meet at the Yelm Timberland Library which is a very family friendly place, so you are welcome to bring your children too.  Future plans are in the works to provide more specific learning opportunities such as how to shop at specific stores, stockpiling, meal planning, store policies, shopping strategies, organization tips, etc.  We also hope to invite speakers from local stores, charities and businesses.

Now that I have convinced you need to be there, here are some details about what to expect.

What to bring

• Coupons.  Bring both coupons you want to swap and expired coupons.  We collect expired coupons for military families overseas who can use them up to 6 months past the expiration date.  If you don't have any coupons, that is ok because we will have plenty to share. 
• Scissors.  Sometimes we have coupons in our box that still need to be cut.
• Questions.  We welcome any and all questions about couponing and saving money.

How the coupon swap works 

• Coupons are sorted into categories on a table.  Click here for a list of categories.
• All coupons are available for everyone to look through as they wish.  We do not keep track of how many coupons you bring to the swap or how many you leave with. 
• If there is enough time, additional coupons can be cut and/or sorted and expired coupons pulled out.
