How to Receive Freebies

Matching sales and coupons can sometimes result in free products.  However, you can also score a lot of free items in the mail through signing up for samples and special offers.  Here is a picture of all the freebies I received in the mail during the month of December and January.

I love going to the mailbox each day to see what I have received.  It is fun!  Aside from the fun, here are some other reasons to sign up for freebies:

1. It is a great way to try new products.
2. Sample sizes are great for traveling or a guest bathroom.
3. Items frequently come with coupons (many of them high value).  This will allow you to get another great deal on that product or maybe even a free item.
4. You can donate items that your family won't use.  This is a great way to give back to your community.
5. You will get on mailing lists for more coupons and other offers from multiple companies.
6. Did I mention it is fun!

Tips:

• Follow the sites that show you the freebies.  You don't have to spend your time searching for what free samples are available.  These are my favorites.

• Create an email account (such as hotmail) that you use only for signing up for samples, coupon lists, newsletters and store deals.
• It should be simple.  Filling out the form to request a free sample should be quick and easy.
• Don't give out your phone number, especially your cell phone.  If it is required, the deal probably isn't worth it.
• Watch for scams.  Use your best judgement and remember what they say about a deal that looks too good to be true!
