Mid-Year Goal Check

With half of 2012 behind us, it is a great time to review your budget and savings goals to see if you are On Target.  My family has a spending budget set for each month and a goal to save $6,000 this year.  This is a great goal for us, however we also have to pay attention to our spending compared to the amount we are saving each month.

I am happy to say that with an average savings of $535 per month, we are on track to meet our goal.  When compared to our spending, we have saved 53%.  For our family, this is a very realistic savings and a great accomplishment.

Taking the time to review your goals will hold you accountable and give you the opportunity to make necessary changes and a better chance for success.

If you didn't set goals for this year, it isn't too late.  Set some goals for the second half of 2012 or take the time to get organized and put some things into place so you can start next year. By keeping track of how much you spend and save, you can get a realistic picture of how much couponing and searching out the best deals is actually saving you.
